We all need to unwind and recharge our batteries from time to time, and nothing does this better than relaxing in an outdoor wood-fired hot tub in a spectacular natural setting. Thirteen of our 16 camps offer wood-fired hot tubs right next to the tent. All you need to do is light the fire, give the water an occasional stir, sit back, and enjoy. Our hot tubs double up perfectly as a splash pool in the hot summer months. It’s the ultimate way to cool down after a long game drive or hike.

GLAMPING ROUTES

With AfriCamps glamping camps in the Klein Karoo, the Cape Winelands, Overberg, the Garden Route, The Midlands, Zululand, Magoebaskloof and around Kruger National Park, you can choose your ideal location or travel from one farm to another. You will see and enjoy the most beautiful parts of the country and learn everything about the typical South African products that our farms produce, or fauna and flora they preserve.

PHILOSOPHY

Sustainability, local empowerment, education, and enrichment of lives throughout our value chain are close to our hearts. On our beautiful properties, we aim for families to discover the joys of farm life and the serenity that can come from being in nature while spending time with the ones who matter most. The activities on our properties teach guests of all ages how valuable our farming industries are and how each of us directly impacts the world around us. Children learn about farm animals and where the fresh produce on their dinner tables comes from, all while spending time in the great outdoors.

Our business philosophy is strongly based on the foundation of sustainability. This is one of the reasons we empowered young local workers to produce all AfriCamps tents and furniture in our factory in the Western Cape. After hiring and training staff from an area with a high unemployment and crime rate, we embarked on a journey to teach our team sewing, woodwork, welding, painting, electrical skills, and more. Most of our factory staff have become exceptionally skilled employees with skills to use throughout their lives.

AfriCamps partners with local landowners and farmers to set up unique boutique glamping experiences on their properties. The farm owners and their teams proudly manage their AfriCamps location. As true ambassadors of their area, our local hosts go above and beyond to introduce guests to their farming industries and the unique qualities of the region.

TYPICAL SOUTH AFRICAN PRODUCE

With all the beautiful local produce that our country has to offer we like to show off a little bit. Whether it’s our wines, beautiful proteas, ostrich products, olives, wildlife or Karoo lamb, we’d like you to experience it all with us. Please bear in mind that we don’t do touristy show farms but only the real deal!

We aim for families to go back to basics. To rediscover the essence of farm life and the serenity that can come from being in nature. Families spend quality time together, while kids are educated about the animals on the farm, the fresh local produce of the area, and how people can impact the world around them.
